I just love my job. Of course, there are days, as with most small businesses, when I worry about making payroll and paying rent. But, even the tough days are good because they keep things real, and remind me not to take anything for granted. The majority, though, are unpredictable, fun, interesting and inspiring. Take the “Spam” day for instance. We work with the NH Department of Resources & Economic Development’s Business Resource Center who assists businesses to relocate, expand and thrive here. So…on Wednesday, we featured the American Bat Company in our new series called the “NH Business Underground” and what a fun day it was. We tested the strength & durability of the bats by hitting all sorts of stuff - a toaster, a melon, a pinata, an old projector, a hard drive, apple pie, peanuts, cracker jacks canned ham and Spam. Our client, Steve (who was also the batter) said to me, smiling, as he was covered in melon, apple pie, and disgustingly smelling canned meats…. “where else can you have a job like this?” Well said. It doesn’t get much better.
