A GUEST POST:

Take a moment. Tell your boss, mother, father, sibling, roommate, significant other, you need 7:43 minutes to take a break. Get a big screen- turn up the volume. Click the video. And think about what inspiration means to you.

For the longest time, we have been chasing the finely tuned process down. Like a holy grail, inspiration runs through it all- or should, or can. It doesn’t matter if you sell insurance, fight fires or ride a bike- the question is how do you do it. Well? With passion? Not every moment is going to make you get up and dance, but there are always those things you can surround yourself with that recharge your batteries.

The thing that connects us fifty-somethings with the every-other-somethings is creating something that inspires. It cuts across all generations, businesses and subject matter you can think of.

If you think the link about street riding by Danny MacAskill is just some kid riding a bike, you might be missing something. There is commitment, grace and passion. You see it in the cinematography and the way he rides.

How does this translate? Maybe that we all have something to add to the conversation- whatever we do. And when we do it well, we get motivated and motivate others.

What motivates you? If you have something to share, let us hear about it on our Facebook page.
